#39 Black Forest Brownies

Ingredients:
1 package brownie mix
1 cup Cherry Pie Filling
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom only of a 13x9" pan. Mix all ingredients, but chocolate chips, together and pour into pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, spread when melted. Let cool and cut into squares.

**Mom has found out that they are really good with the chocolate chips mixed in rather than on top! I will have to try it.

This recipe is from my mother-in-law, Debbie. It is one of Matt's favorites.

This sounds really good! The only problem being that I can't actually use any recipes that use cake/brownie mixes. They do have a few here, but the sizes are all different. I think this could work though if I just made a regular brownie batter and then added the extra bits.

I made the recipe wrong! Instead of putting the chocolate chips on top, I mixed them in the batter.

Was it really good with the chocolate chips mixed in? With them on top they form a crusty, hard top. Maybe it would be better with them mixed in!

Art wants me to make these for dessert this Friday night, when we are having people over. Good thing I knew where to look for the recipe!
